information SERVICE DETAILS

Over the years we have had amazing volunteers! A diverse bunch of individuals with a common desire to positively contribute to the support & services of The Junction. We strive to ensure high quality volunteer experiences, which encourage both personal and professional development.

There are various ways people can volunteer within The Junction:

Junction Youth Advisors (14 - 21’s)

The Junction Youth Advisors (JYA) is a group of local young people who support The Junction to provide free accessible health and wellbeing services to their peers in Leith and North East Edinburgh.

Board of Trustees (over 21’s)

The Junction could not do the vital work they do without the support of the Board of Trustees who have overall responsibility for the organisation.

Specialist Volunteers

In the past we have had two qualified Reiki Practitioners volunteering their skills, and a Volunteer Yoga Tutor. Specialist Volunteers bring opportunities for young people (and staff) to explore new activities.

Fundraising Volunteers

We are always grateful for those individuals who choose to support our work by fundraising for The Junction, whether it’s through running a marathon or holding money raising events.
