Waverley Care is Scotland’s HIV and Hepatitis C charity.
Waverley Care was established in 1989.
Since then we have constantly adapted and responded to the changing face of HIV, incorporated Hepatitis C into our work and developed new areas of focus.
We are a community of diverse and inspiring people united by the same goal – to make a positive difference in the lives of people affected by HIV or Hepatitis C in Scotland.
Waverley Care offers services that allow people diagnosed with HIV or Hepatitis C to be cared for and supported.
Our work is focused on prevention, education, testing and support. Throughout Scotland we’re reducing new HIV and Hepatitis C infections, getting people diagnosed and supporting those affected in whatever ways they need. We’re also busy challenging stigma.
Behind each of these goals are individual stories which is why, throughout all of our services, we make sure it’s always about the people. No matter who we work with, we strive for everyone we meet to feel respected and encouraged.
In all that we do, we never give up on people and are always there to walk alongside anyone affected by HIV or Hepatitis C.
We have operational sites in Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, Glasgow and Inverness and our outreach work extends across Scotland.
Edinburgh & Lothian
We offer a large number of support services based in Edinburgh to assist Scotland’s highest concentration of people living with HIV and second-highest concentration of people affected by Hepatitis C. Our services reach across the City of Edinburgh and to the West, Mid and East Lothian regions, from Livingston to Dunbar and Penicuik to Leith.
Our main offices are in Edinburgh’s city centre, while our residential outreach and support centre, Waverley Care Milestone, is located in South Edinburgh in the Oxgangs area.
