We are one of the biggest Christian Youth Organisations in the UK & Republic of Ireland.
We are committed to seeing lives enriched by supporting children and young people to reach their full potential by providing opportunities to meet together and engage in a range of fun and developmental activities and experiences.
There’s something for every young person whether it’s camping or kayaking, first aid or five a side. Members develop skills, build confidence, make friends, take responsibility and are encouraged to make a real difference in their communities.
Edinburgh, Leith and District Battalion was formed on the 1st September 1998 through the mergers of Edinburgh and Leith Battalions. Edinburgh, Leith & District Battalion, incorporates the City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian Council Areas.
It has over 30 local Companies that make up the Battalion, with each of these groups being attached to a local church. It has over 1,000 Boy members and 300 volunteer adult leaders/helpers who give of their time freely each week.
The Boys' Brigade works with Boys from P2 - S6, in 3 distinct Sections covering 4 age groups.
At our headquarters at 22 Ferry Road, we have Pollock Pavilion and Lethem Park. Pollock Pavilion is our administrative centre, whilst Lethem Park is our sports ground wholly owned by ourselves.
Both the Pavilion and the Park are available for hire by outside groups when the Battalion is not using the facilities. Please note that we do not hire our football pitches to adult male teams.
If you are between 6 and 18 years of age and would like to join The Boys’ Brigade, or wish more information on the Boys’ Brigade in our area, then contact Battalion Headquarters on 0131 551 1200, or email us at email@example.com.
