2023 – Craggan Outdoor Centre will have some periods of closure whilst we carry out some renovation and essential maintenance works. A new Craggan Outdoor Centre Website is also in the making and should be available in May 2023. In the meantime, please bear whilst we work on these areas.

Craggan Residential Centre Loch Tay...

Craggan is situated on the south bank of Loch Tay in the beautiful countryside of Perthshire. It is located on the single track road between Killin and Kenmore, adjacent to the hamlet of Ardeonaig, approximately 7 miles east of Killin.

The centre is available for groups or families of all ages with ready access to many facilities in the locality and is well suited for water activities, hill walking, cycling or your more relaxed group holidays.

Craggan was constructed in 1975 and extensively refurbished in 2006 with full disabled access including a lift.

The site Craggan sits on extends from the road way to the loch side commanding magnificent views on the three landward sides with a similar view to Loch Tay and the majestic Ben Lawers (1214 metres). There is also a landing jetty accessible from the sand/shingle beach.

The centre sleeps up to 29 people and is available to groups and individuals on a self catering basis. The main lounge/dining and kitchen area are located on the first floor. The kitchen is well equipped with a double oven cooker. Downstairs there are 4 staff rooms, 4 large bedrooms and a disabled room, as well as toilets and showers. The entrance hall can also be used as a drying room. There is a good supply of indoor games equipment.

An additional space is available for camping and the centre has its own canoes, safety boat and jetty for watersports.

Craggan stands in an area steeped in history with ruins of castles, set in the ever changing scenery of Perthshire.

Whilst we work on the new Craggan Website, please email office@thebb-edinburgh.org.uk or call us on 0131 551 1200 for booking enquiries.
