information SERVICE DETAILS

The youth provision team at Sikh Sanjog work with young people from 5-18 years old, predominately children and young women from Sikh and ethnic minority backgrounds, however our services are open to all.

Sikh Sanjog ensure that all of our programs are in line with the priorities and policies of the Scottish Government including ‘Getting it right For Every Child’ and the ‘Curriculum for Excellence’. We also work towards the LGBT charter of Rights and manage the Positive Destination strategy for ethnic minority school leavers.

We have a skilled and varied staff team that understand the challenges of being a young person in today’s society with the advancement of technology, transitioning from primary school to high-school - high school and beyond, competitive employment and further education opportunities, family and friends, the milestones and development of growing up all while juggling 2 cultures and finding a place in the world.

Our programs aim to provide opportunities to support this time in a young person’s life that are fun, education and relevant including:

- Health & wellbeing
- Personal development
- Confidence building
- Employability, further education, modern apprenticeships
- Work in schools
- Cultural awareness
- Accreditation

And much more….
