The Action Group’s Wellbeing Response Project aims to support families with a disabled child and adults with learning disabilities/support needs and their carer with problems face as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The service provides:

Phone Support...

For those who just need a friendly ear to offload to, to those who are really struggling emotionally (who we can connect to ongoing support).

You can call for support during the helpline hours:

- Monday-Friday: 10:00am - 3:00pm
- Tuesday & Thursday: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
- Saturday: 10:00am - 4:00pm

Practical Support...

We can give help to problem-solve the issues people are facing. This can include practical help to pick up food or medication (for people who are shielding, isolating or who struggle to shop due to caring commitments We can connect people to additional sources of practical advice and support too.

*practical help needs to be arranged during phoneline opening hours but can happen outside of these hours.

Digital Support...

We can support people to learn how to use their digital devices and coach people to use online resources like shopping or social media so they can connect with family and friends. We can also coach people to be safe online.

We may be able to provide people with digital resources, please call for further information.

Fund Support...

We may be able to provide small grants to provide people for anything they feel would improve their wellbeing in this situation. Please call for further information. We can connect people to other resources that might improve their wellbeing.
