How you can help

None of our projects and services could be delivered in the community without the help of our volunteers who provide support on a weekly basis.

There are over 120 volunteers now and their contribution is invaluable to the Eric Liddell Centre.

We welcome volunteers of all ages, cultures and abilities, including school pupils who are looking for work experience or to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The Eric Liddell Centre is indebted to its volunteer helpers who, by giving their time, are enriching the lives of others while gaining valuable skills and experience.

If you are able to give some time on a regular basis, whether that is weekly, fortnightly, monthly or even daily and you want to help us make a difference to people’s lives and circumstances, we would love to hear from you.

You can support us by:

- Helping in the Day Care Service
- Giving a hand at our lunch service for older people.
- Helping carers through the Carer Befriending Service
- Being a foot carer with our Caring Soles Service
- Café Connect – working front of house in the café or behind the scenes in the kitchen.
- Volunteering on our Fundraising Committee to help us organise our series of fundraising events.
- Tots Togs and Book-room – helping to sort and display donations.
- Gardening - Keeping our raised beds and environs neat and tidy
- Doing odd jobs around the building including a bit of painting and decorating
- Helping staff with admin support, notice boards and leaflets

Training...

We provide training, continuous support and supervision to our volunteers.
