information SERVICE DETAILS

It is very difficult for people to secure a stable place to live without being able to use a computer and navigate online platforms. Increasingly digital skills are essential as statutory support, education and employment opportunities as well as banking increasingly require online literacy.

We have a number of initiatives to ensure people we support are included in the digital world, and able to access the help and support they need:

- Our Digital Zone with access to computers and on-hand support at the Holyrood Hub.

- Regular digital drop-in sessions to develop people’s skills. These are currently being delivered in partnership with People Know How.

- Ensuring everyone we support has an email address (and can access their email account) if they want or need this.

- Delivering Get Digital with a range of homelessness service providers across Scotland – a programme designed to ensure digital inclusion is imbedded into how we support people.

Get the support you need!

For people affected by homelessness in Scotland, contact us so that we can put you in touch with your nearest Get Digital Partner. Our partners provide access workshops and one-to-one support. No prior knowledge needed. Everything we offer can be designed to suit just what you need. We go at your pace. For further information, please see https://www.getdigitalscotland.org.

Being computer literate and digitally confident can help people exit homelessness and achieve their goals. We’re here to help make this as easy as possible.
