The Society was formed in 1893 and has been based in Edinburgh since that time. Meetings take place in St. John's Church Hall, at the corner of Princes Street and Lothian Road, Edinburgh on Tuesday evenings. All members are invited to participate in the 'First Half Hour' which starts at 7.00pm. The 'Main Display' is normally conducted by a current member or visiting speaker comprising talks, discussions and demonstrations on stamp collecting or postal history.
