information SERVICE DETAILS

The Open Arms Programme is a collaborative project between ELREC, Sikh Sanjog, LINKnet, and Saheliya. It is designed to engage minority ethnic and migrant women in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Each collaborating organisation offers a variety of women-only services and activities.

ELREC offers fitness and sports classes as well as classes, such as yoga, which help one cope with mental health stresses such as anxiety and depression.

Furthermore, we deliver activities aimed at personal and creative development such as arts and crafts and creative writing.

Mondays

10:30am - 12:00pm: Body Maintenance & Face Yoga (McDonald Road Library, 2-8 McDonald Road, EH7 4LU)
12:30pm - 2:30pm: Crafts Making workshops (McDonald Road Library 2-8 McDonald Road, EH7 4LU

Tuesdays

10:00am - 12:00pm: Hit Squash (Grange Club Portgower Place, EH4 1HQ)
12:30pm - 2:30pm: Stress and Anxiety Management course (ELREC Office 14 Forth Street, EH1 3LH)

Wednesdays

12:00pm - 1:00pm: Yoga (McDonald Road Library, 2-8 McDonald Road, EH7 4LU)
13:00pm - 3:00pm: Personal Leadership and Confidence Building course (ELREC Office 14 Forth Street, EH1 3LH)

Thursdays

5:45pm - 7:15pm: Creative Writing course (ELREC Office 14 Forth Street, EH1 3LH)
