information SERVICE DETAILS

Study for free - if your personal income is £25,000 or less, or you’re receiving certain benefits, you could qualify for a Part-Time Fee Grant and top-up funding to cover 100% of your module fees.

Part-Time Fee Grant

It’s a grant, rather than a loan – so you’ll never need to pay it back.

If your grant amount doesn’t quite cover your module cost, we’ll top it up to the full amount.

You don’t need to be working towards a qualification to be eligible.

How to apply

You can apply for a Part-Time Fee Grant once per academic year. You should submit your grant application to SAAS and complete your registration with us on or before the final enrolment date of your course.

It can take up to 28 days for SAAS to process your application. So, to secure your funding, we strongly recommend that you submit your application immediately after registering onto your module.

To find out more about the grant, visit the SAAS website at https://www.saas.gov.uk/part-time.

You can also view our step-by-step guide to applying for the Part-Time Fee Grant and enrolling on your module at https://www.open.ac.uk/courses/apply/scotland-grant-apply.
