Service details...

As a parent or carer of a child or young person with learning difficulties, you may have experienced times when you have felt worried, uncertain and isolated.

Our team of Family Advice and Outreach Specialists will listen to the difficulties you are experiencing and will support you to work through these challenges. We aim to support, inform and empower you.

How we work with you...

Some common issues

- Your child or young person may be having difficulties in school and you’re unsure where to go next.
- You may not know about the kinds of support your child/young person can expect in school and in the wider community.
- Or you may be uncertain about your rights and what you can ask for.

We’re here to offer you advice, information and practical or emotional support.

What to expect

You can contact us by phone, email, through our website or social media. One of our Family Advice Specialists will respond and be there to listen and help plan your next steps.

You may wish to speak or message with our Family Advice Specialist a number of times, working through your concerns. For some, it may only be one call or message.

When enhanced support is needed, you may be referred on to our Family Outreach Specialists, who will create an individualised support plan with you to agree actions and outcomes.
