Covid-19 UPDATE...

MUSIC FOR ALL ONLINE, please see https://www.columcillecentre.co.uk/music4all-videos.

We have developed online Music for ALL for this time of Corona virus restrictions, with thanks to Graeme, and Phil (who runs the Bonnyrigg group) who are sending these from home.

Craig Bennett who manages our website, has created a new page for the online music and photos. Please send us any photos or film clips or audio clips, asking us to share on the website. We would love to hear from you.

Normal Service Details...

Music for ALL runs 6 music courses and has a great party and ceilidh band called Coracle for events related to Music for ALL.

Music for ALL is a social enterprise project.

The courses are focused to be welcoming and accessible to people with learning disabilities and are designed to encourage participation and enjoyment. We play a wide range of music plus developmental activities such as turn taking, literacy (recognising words of songs) and numeracy (beat counting, clapping etc). Musical instruments are supplied and there is no requirement about experience – just a wish to be there and participate in the ways that suit each person. The input of support staff is important in assisting students to participate in their individual ways and to enjoy being part of making music. Music for ALL aims to be a “screen free” environment! We request use of mobiles and chatting is only during tea break.

We run six courses per term (3 terms/year) in the following locations:

The Nelson Hall Community Centre - Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
Richmond Craigmiller Church Hall - Tuesday & Friday.

N.B. We have some spaces on Thursdays and 2 on Monday morning. Please contact Alison for further information.

The programmes for September 2019 – June 2020, please see https://www.columcillecentre.co.uk/community-programs/music-for-all and click on the link to access the day you require.
