What is Homeopathy?

Homoeopathy is a system of complementary, energetic medicine with a two hundred year history of observation, exploration and practical, clinical experience.

How will it benefit me and my baby/children ?

Many of us look for holistic and different ways to support our health and well-being when pregnant or with a new baby, and we want safe, non-toxic solutions.

Homoeopathic remedies are non-toxic, safe and gentle and so are ideal for use during pregnancy, while breastfeeding and for babies and children.

There are many so-called “minor” complaints of pregnancy which we might think we just need to get on with – like heartburn, nausea, ligament and pelvic pain as well as anxieties, fears and uncertainties. How you experience any of these symptoms is important, what makes you feel better or worse are clues to which remedy might help you.

You may want to explore other support and tools to have available during labour and for immediately post-birth.

After birth we might want something to aid normal physical healing, or for emotional and physical support after more difficult birth experiences for both ourselves and our babies.

Amongst the range of things available to you, for pregnancy, the post-natal weeks, for breastfeeding problems, unsettled, “colicky”, teething or sleepless babies, you might want to consider homeopathy.

You may want to try using homeopathy for conditions like diarrhoea, ear infections, respiratory tract infections and eczema.

People consult a homoeopath for a variety of reasons; from a general sense that they could feel better and have more energy, through acute illnesses, or for help with more deep seated and limiting health challenges.

Homoeopathy can be used alongside any treatment and advice you may choose to receive from medical or other complementary practitioners.

What to expect at a consultation

Due to the current viral situation and Covid-19, I am offering consultations for both current clients and initial appointments for new people online and also by phone for anyone who already works with me.

For any current clients, you are welcome to have a free 15 minute check-in (online appointment). For any remedies sent out there will be a charge for those and postage.

New to Homeopathy ? I can offer an introductory meeting, you can find out more about how I work or you can simply book in for an appointment.

Shorter, acute consultations online available for both new and existing clients.

What happens in a consultation?

We’ll talk about what you would like help with, for you or your baby or child. I might ask about your medical history, lifestyle and the things which bother you, any physical symptoms you have, how you are in yourself, what concerns you, any stresses and worries you have.

I am happy to help with pre-conception, menstrual issues, pregnancy and post-natally. Also we can look at ways to move towards a healthier lifestyle – pregnancy related or not, acute or long term health concerns, emotional and mental wellbeing, huge life changes and transitions, stress and a wealth of other concerns.

In keeping with the PPC ethos, I do not want anyone to be unable to access Homeopathy for purely financial reasons. If you are in receipt of benefits or on a particularly low income and would like a concession please do get in touch and we can work out a manageable arrangement for you. Different rates for different family circumstances are noted below.
