Details
The Good Book Group meets monthly, usually on the first Monday of each month, in the Gibson Craig Lounge. Our evening begins with coffee and friendly chatter as folk gather, and then we discuss a book we have read together over the previous month. Usually we have an introduction to the author, discussion on what we thought of the book, and then we score each of our “reads” out of 10 for fun!

We read a variety of books – mainly fiction, but biography, crime, short stories, historical and religious too – with the books we choose being suggested by the group members.

The challenge is always to find something none of us has read! The books can often be sourced through the Library or second hand, and there’s always chocolate biscuits on offer too.

This group offers fun, friendship and the challenge to read a bit more widely. Come along!

This is a church group, new members welcome
