information SERVICE DETAILS

CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) saves lives. For every minute that passes when someone’s in cardiac arrest, their chances of surviving decrease by 10%.

Starting CPR as soon as possible gives the person the best chance of a good outcome after cardiac arrest.

We work in communities across Scotland to empower as many people as possible to learn how they can save someone’s life with CPR.

Our local teams of volunteers provide free training to groups, schools and workplaces, and at drop-in sessions in communities across the country.

Can I request CPR training for my group/school/workplace from St John Scotland?

Yes, please get in touch and we’ll put you in contact with your local team of volunteers.

How much does CPR training cost?

We provide CPR training free of charge, but we welcome donations to cover the costs of equipment, training and support for volunteers.

Will I get a certificate when I have done the training?

Our CPR training is not a certified course so we don’t provide certificates – but it’s an opportunity for you to learn the very simple skills you need to save someone’s life.

Looking for training in your area? Search our CPR events or contact us to arrange training for your group, school or workplace.
