always hope....

At CAP we are on a mission to release thousands of families from grinding poverty through award winning debt counselling and community groups. By equipping and empowering local churches to reach out on their doorsteps, we’re bringing hope to tens of thousands of people every year.

For over 20 years, CAP has been providing free debt help in Scotland. CAP Scotland helps hundreds of people get out of debt every year, equipping them to withstand whatever storms may come their way in the future.

The Edinburgh West Debt Centre is run by Holy Trinity Church (HTC) Wester Hailes and helps people across the west side of the city.

All of our services are completely free and are for everyone. We’re a charity that is passionate about helping people from all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities and faiths.

CAP Debt Centre...

Free debt help, for anyone struggling with unmanageable debt, is available at our CAP Debt Centre. Holy Trinity Church has run this service in partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) for over 10 years, helping local people out of debt with practical, confidential support.

Our CAP team go the extra mile, working with people until they are debt-free. We visit clients in their own homes, making our service accessible to anyone who might find travel difficult or those who find it hard to leave their home. Our service is open to people of all faiths and none.

For further information please contact our CAP Centre Manager Melanie Kilburn on melaniekilburn@capuk.org.

You can also book an appointment by:

- Calling Freephone 0800 328 0006
- Through your local Job Centre+ who will arrange a call back from one of our debt coaches.

CAP Job Club...

Our CAP Job Club is a friendly place where you will get practical help as you seek employment. It’s a relaxed environment with the chance to meet other jobseekers, get support and gain the tools you need to find work.

The free, eight-week course provides jobseekers with essential skills, such as CV writing and interview technique. At the heart of the course is a supportive peer-to-peer group where course members can share their experiences, struggles and advice. In addition, each is given one-to-one coaching to develop their strengths and identify other opportunities, such as volunteering or additional training.

Holy Trinity runs this service in partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP). Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a UK charity which provides free debt counselling, money management, job clubs, life skills groups and support. Our CAP services are open to people of all faiths and none.

CAP Money Course...

The CAP Money Course is a revolutionary money management course that teaches people budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that really works. This course will help anyone to get more in control of their finances, so they can save, give and prevent debt.

The CAP Money Course is devised by the award-winning debt counselling charity, Christians Against Poverty. CAP services are available for everyone, regardless of age, gender, faith or background and are completely free of charge.

We run regular courses throughout the year, please get in touch to find out how to join us!
