Sasha Baggaley, who delivers our Pilates classes is also a neurophysiotherapist, and has developed a Neurodynamic Exercise programme for the Branch based on her experience with Pilates, Neurophysiotherapy, and the philosophy, principles and research of PD Warrior, LSVT BIG and PWR MOVES.

These are programmes which address both physical and cognitive activity at higher levels of intensity, and is suitable for people in the earlier stages of Parkinson’s (mild to moderate symptoms). The exercises can be adapted to suit individuals, based on their Parkinson’s symptoms and any other pathologies.

The 10-week programme involves pre- and post-assessments, and there is the opportunity to join an ongoing ‘continuation class’ at the end of the programme.

Zoom classes with Sasha take place on Wednesdays 9:30am - 10:30am, Thursday 4:00pm - 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 9:00am.

Live in-person classes with Sasha is on Wednesdays 1:00pm - 2:00pm and 3:00pm - 4:00pm at The Fisherrow Centre, South St, Musselburgh EH21 6AT.

Class with David take place on Mondays 12:00pm - 1:00pm at St Matthew Hall, Morningside Parish Church.

Cost will be £60 for the programme with an additional cost of £25 for equipment to be retained by the attendee. For more details see the News Announcement

All classes are be suited to anyone who feels they would like to learn more about the type of exercise advocated for PWP, or how to get more from the exercises they are doing.
