information SERVICE DETAILS

We are a self-help group for those affected by Bipolar including carers, family and friends. All our group facilitators are themselves members of our group and have their own lived experience of Bipolar.

We are all volunteers – we have no funds of our own. We do however benefit from support from the staff of Bipolar Scotland (https://www.bipolarscotland.org.uk) based in Paisley and are grateful for the support of NHS Lothian who provides funding to pay for our monthly meetings.

Our main focus is our free monthly meetings in Edinburgh. Information about meetings is displayed in the group calendar (http://lothianbipolargroup.org.uk/calendar) including the date, time and location of meetings as well as the range of topics our guest speakers cover.

We are also keen to arrange informal social events, listed below are our current different type of events:

- Local walks and gym/swim sessions
- Coffee meet-ups
- Films at central cinemas

This meeting takes place online and in-person (hybrid meeting).

Our group facilitators maintain an email list to keep everyone up-to-date with the latest news, please subscribe at http://lothianbipolargroup.org.uk/contact-us.
