information DESCRIPTION

Vine Trust is an international interdenominational volunteering charity which seeks to enable volunteers to make a real and significant difference to some of the poorest children and communities in the world. We welcome people from all backgrounds who share our ethos of caring and our belief that whilst we can’t help everyone we can all help someone.

The Vine Trust was established in 1985 as a local community response to the famine in Ethiopia and Sudan by churches in Bo’ness, Scotland who felt compelled to do something. ‘Branches,’ a small gift shop, was born with the ethos that everyone can do something to help others in need. Run by a team of committed volunteers; its profits continue to support the work of the Vine Trust.

As the Vine Trust has grown, its core ethos has remained: There are tremendous needs in the world and it is too easy to become overwhelmed by the enormity of the task.

We cannot do everything. We can all do something.

We may not be able to change the whole world, but we can improve someone’s world. At Vine Trust we believe not only that something can be done, but that something must be done. We invite you to join us as we connect people to change lives.

In 2010 we cerebrated our 25th anniversary.
