The Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) is the leading mental health charity in Scotland.

SAMH works to support people who experience mental health problems, homelessness, addictions and other forms of social exclusion. SAMH provide direct services, including accommodation, support, employment, training and rehabilitation, as well as actively campaigning to influence policy and improve care services in Scotland.

The Hive...

The Hive is a partnership between NHS Lothian and SAMH.

The Hive is an activity centre and coffee bar situated in the grounds of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital that provides activities for in-patients of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, including Acute and Rehab Wards.

The service opens Tuesday - Saturday with a social event every Tuesday evening.

Activities include art, jewellery making, outings, computer tutoring, DJ workshops, music groups etc.

These groups vary depending on service user requests.

This service is only available to INPATIENTS at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
