Shakti Young Women's Group is for young single women experiencing and or fleeing domestic abuse and honour based abuse.
The women have to be Shakti's service user.
The aim of the group is two fold, firstly to create a safe place for the women to meet other women, share experiences/information and make friends to reduce isolation. Secondly, to facilitate opportunities, workshops/talks to build their self confidence and build a safe life for themselves.
Activities will include:
- Provide trauma informed group work to women
- Organise and provide fun social activities to help them build their social skills - build social connections and friendships to help reduce isolation
- Where necessary provide structured counselling
