Many people living with long term conditions find it difficult to access appropriate mainstream exercise and fitness classes and as a result, are unable to remain healthy and manage their condition.
KICC Active Lothian is an on-going project. We are facilitating the establishment of accessible, self-management community based exercise programmes in Lothian.
Yoga is a holistic exercise focusing on stretching and breathing exercises which have seen results in improved physical and psychological states. Through yoga we develop awareness and improve mental performance and emotional wellbeing.
