SERVICE DETAILS
We offer two supervised F2F sessions each week aimed at people making the transition from classes to playing regularly in the Club.
One of the sessions, known as the Improvers Pairs, is held on Tuesday evenings, starting at 7:00pm, apart from the second Tuesday in the month. The primary aim of this session is to give players more confidence to enable hands to be played in under 8 minutes - the club standard is a maximum of 7 minutes per board. The play will be supervised with help available. Additional guidance will be given intermittently on aspects of bidding, play and table organisation. Partners and those without a partner are most welcome.
The other session, which is for Novices and Improvers, is held on Wednesday afternoons starting at 1:00pm. This session caters for a wide range of player levels, from students in our bridge Academy who have completed at least lessons 1-20, to experienced beginners already playing in club tournaments. You should aim to arrive at least 10 mins before the start time and you can turn up on your own or with a partner. Visitors are welcome. An estimated 15-18 hands will be played.
David Briggs (Director of the MBA) writes a commentary on the hands played for theses sessions and they will be available to take away with you.
Table money will be £3.00 payable by debit or credit card.
