Dial-A-Bus provides transport from home to local shopping centres for people with limited mobility who cannot manage by ordinary bus.
The Service operates at least once a week from most areas in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
If you need a friend or relative to accompany you, let us know when you book and he/she can come too.We may be able to arrange for someone to help you with your shopping. The driver will give you any help you need to get on or off the bus, it has been designed for easy access and is "wheelchair friendly".

When does it operate?
Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
How does it work?
You need to book a place by telephoning the office or by filling in our online form at http://www.hcltransport.org.uk/booking-request. Our bus will then pick you up at the door (if necessary the driver will escort you to the bus) and will set you down at the shopping location.
You will have between 1 to 2 hours at the shopping centre and then return home. Our driver will take you and your shopping to your door if you need help.
Do I need to be registered with Dial-A-Bus?
Yes. You can find a form on our registration page, which you can complete online at http://www.hcltransport.org.uk/register.
How much does it cost?
£1.75 each way. (Effective from 1st June 2017 and subject to periodic change.)
Can I be accompanied?
Yes. If you are unable to travel by yourself you may bring an escort with you who will also travel at £1.75. Please remember to tell us you need space for an escort when you book.
Is there room for passengers who are wheelchair users?
Yes. The Dial-a-Bus is accessible which allows those in wheelchairs to have access to the service.
