We were delighted to receive a grant towards community brokerage in Edinburgh from The Edinburgh Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
This supports our work with families of young disabled people with a focus on the well-being of their parents and carers as part of our brokerage services in the city.
Our partners in this are FAIR (0131 622 1962 - www.fairadvice.org.uk) who provide information, advice and support including benefits.
We are providing brokerage for disabled young people and their families and as part of that scheme supporting parent carers with their emotional well-being and mental health so that they can continue to care for as long as they wish to.
A well-being coach works directly with the parent carer alongside the broker as she explores opportunities and connections for the short and longer term.
